Polling Day

Singapore polling day has finally arrived and citizens seemed to be rather excited about the entire event. The photo below was taken this early morning from my bedroom window and showed a line of enthusiastic residents awaiting their turns to cast the votes.

A beeline of eager voters formed outside the polling station (CHIJ Toa Payoh)

Whatever the outcome would be, I hope for a better Singapore in the coming years! Majulah Singapura!!! ;-)

Marina Bay

Took my DSLR for a workout last Saturday to explore its potential and here are the results:

The iconic Merlion is temporary being refurbished into a single room hotel. What a shame, :(

The Central Business District forming the backdrop with Fullerton Hotel in the forefront.

The good old Clifforf Pier and I vaguely remember setting off from here years ago when I was a young kid seeing my Uncle Peter off via the wave rocking bump boat.

The tallest hotel in between the two durian husks; a snapshot of the Esplanade.

A colourful display of the floating platfrom amidst the concrete infrastructure.

A landscape view of the newly opened Marina Bay Sand.

The lotus inspired Art & Science Musemum.

The spacious rear entrance to the shopping arena of MBS.

Love this spectacular shot of the curvy facade of MBS from inside the shopping mall.

The Helix Bridge that links MBS to the rest of Marina and the Esplanade.

Japan Earthquake/Tsunami

It is through tragic event such as this that one would see the best and worse of mankind.

I did a small part in helping out the victims and hope you have done likewise, for the sake of humanity.
